Once upon a time, I used to have a podcast. Eventually, I amassed so much equipment, it got really tedious to set up for recording (I recorded in my car while driving to work) so I stopped doing it. iPhone is a perfect platform for recording, I think. Just thinking off the top of my head here...
We already have the voice notes program. What we really need is LAME Mp3 converting (though voice notes only records AMR and LAME required WAV, I think), an id3 tag editing utility, and FTP. Bingo! Wrap them up in an app that allows you to set things like "default title" and "upload address" and you could almost script the whole process.
I've got absolutely no programming experience, but I'm willing to help in any way I can if someone wants to tool around with this project.
