First gen Iphone Firmware upgrade

Hi All,

New to this site and looking for some help.

My daughter has a fist gen Iphone which is running on Orange network.

She has 1.1.3 firmware. How do i go about getting teh latest firmware ? If she clicks update icon on Apple website will the phone be locked again ?

I bought the phone on my travels as an unlocked phone. Some time later when connected to Itunes she clicked upgrade icon and phone got locked. We paid £95 at the time (18 months ago ish)to get it unlocked.

Can you advise which firmware she should have and where to get it ?

Thanks but I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to Iphones.

Followed instructions but where do I download the files it says I need ?
