Grip Growl, upcoming notification system for iphone
This looks amazing
Grip Growl
It will replace elert, tlert (no need for RYP then), and also the annoying normal iphone type of notifications, that will only get worse with push notifications
I was dreaming about something like this

Looks pretty interesting! Nice find.
I can see how it would compete with Elert, but not Tlert, as it does not look like it lets you actually interact with SMS and reply like Tlert.
I look forward to 3.0 and trying it out.

I tested an install and it does work as advertised. Doesnt look like any network support is implemented yet, but that would be nice! I have a few specific uses for "Growl" support to iPhone over local Lan.
Our Phone System sends Growl Notifications to our computers when someone calls in, is on hold or left a voicemail. Would be nice to get these notifications on iPhone when at the office.Last edited by interstink; 04-29-2009 at 11:06 AM.

Growl has always been notification service that 3rd party applications can hook into to display popups. So this would be a great service for developers to send notifications through. Once it supports networked "forwarded" notifications this will be great!
