    Apparently dashboard has been made for the iPhone by the same guy who made Stacks, but he has not released it...

    You can use QuickGold to search just about anything on your phone; contacts, bookmarks, apps, etc. It also lets you perform Google searches right from the SpringBoard. Just press the home button to bring QuickGold up, type the letter "g" and a space and then what you want to search for. It'll launch Safari and then automatically load your results.

    I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but it's close and QuickGold is one of the most useful apps on the iPhone. I don't know what I'd do without it!
