(OS X) The idiots guide to SWAPTUNES on 1.1.3 and 1.1.4
FOR MAC
***Subnote ***To eliminate earlier rumors about Ziphone compatibility I did a complete restore on my iPhone to 1.1.4 and broke it open with ziphone's latest version. Works flawlessly.***
If you have any issues with it working after doing this method, restore your phone and break it with ziphone, takes 5 minutes tops. You have a conflict that needs to be taken care of.
Ok, no matter how many times it has been said how to make it work, people still screw it up. If you do it exactly like this, IT WILL WORK FLAWLESSLY.
(1). Make sure you have BSD and SSH installed on your phone. If you have one, you have the other ....and you likely already have this since it is the first thing most people install when they jailbreak and start using installer.
(2). Download the hacked version of Swaptunes attached to this thread and unzip it.
(3). Open Transmit or Cyberduck and log in to your iphone using SSH. (name:ROOT pass:ALPINE) To find out what your IP number is for your phone, simply go into your phone settings>wifi>*select your router using the blue arrow*- it will show you your IP addy..... write that down. Also while you are in settings, set your autolock to NEVER.
(4). Now that you are logged in through SSH using Cyberduck or Transmit, go to /APPLICATIONS and click the arrow to expand the applications folder.
(5) Place the Swaptunes application in your Applications folder.
(6) Press the off button on top of your phone and hold for the slider to appear to completely shut the phone down. Slide it and shut the phone off.
(7) Turn the phone back on. You'll see the Swaptunes icon. Congrats You have a fully working version of Swaptunes on 1.1.3 or 1.1.4 now.

I was going insane trying to get customize to work. There are about 100 different workarounds that DON'T WORK! I have tried a lot of them. Almost convinced myself to sell the phone because it became so frustrating to me. Thanks to you I love my iPhone again. Followed your directions and everything worked FLAWLESSLY! Thanks again and I am glad I joined this site.

Same here. Icon appeared. When pressed brings up "Switching Library" and enlarged icon, then proceeds to return to the home screen and nothing is changed.

i think people are missing out on what this application does.. and what it does is after clicking the program your suppossed to see an icon and its suppossed to go back to your springboard.. what it did in those 2 seconds is switch your library with an empty one, and it does that so you can sync your empty library with another computer so that it does not overwrite your previous library, and anytime you wanna go back to your other lbrary you just open it again and check your songs and you will see your on your original library, theres no interface no option boxes all it does is switch between your original library and your new empty library ( unless you already synced to a new computer and uploaded songs) and thats it

I used iPhoneBrowser on a PC and transferred the SwapTunes folder to /Applications but nothing happens even after a reboot. I checked my iTunes library everytime I ran the SwapTunes app but nothing changes. My iTune libraries should alternatively switch everytime I run Swaptunes, right?
I will try again later tonight at home when I'm on my Mac
.
Thanks!
Okay I just tried again at home using Cyberduck and Secure FTPed in and now it works! I guess it didn't like me to use iPhonebrowser from my work PC. lol
Thanks One1!

SwapTunes works great! Too bad I can't have three libraries because I have a Mac and PC at home and a Windows Laptop at work.

YOU ARE NOT IN THE ROOT FOLDER. You are in the VAR folder. Look up top to the address bar in the program and drop it down.
