Are there any missing intructrions on exactly how to use anySIM. I tried but i dont know if i was supposed to restore my phone before trying or if i was supposed to take out my sim at any time during the process.

2. Changed the Auto-Lock to "Never".
3. Re-installed anySIM.
4. Accepted the terms and conditions.
5. Installation process was going fine for a while and then the popup came up: "Unlock Failure. The Flash operation succeeded but the unlock commands failed. You might want to check the baseband manually using minicom."

All of you did you take out the sim before running the app? If not try it without the sim. It sounds like the sim is blocking the unlocking part.

I tried the anySIM after going through the ModMyI tutorial .. It had the credits screen with black bg and white font.. waited for minutes, more than 10, but nothing happened.

I wanted to try iUnlcok Reloaded, but it didnt appear on the phone's screen. Now I am gonna try iUnlock, but i am really hopeless.. Why didn't anySIM go on...!?!??!

any help would be highly appreciated!

I'm building and testing the package for my installer source and had EXACTLY the same thing happen to my phone. I launched the app, looked at the cool background, had the pop-up telling me to set my 'lock to never', I clicked "OK" and wham my phone was frozen. Forcing it to reboot produced very scary results I had black and white horizontal block lines but hey Dock 2.06 was still there (but locked up my phone when I launched an app)

I'm going to point all the other anySIM threads to this one to keep people informed, unless the three of us are the only ones with really bad luck

yeap anysim is way to buggy. its easier to just follow the proven steps at http://iphone.unlock.no/. no need to waste 15 min to find you need another 30 min to follow the way that works

so i used anySIM and it said failure to patch bytes but now i get no service airplane mode is retarded i put on and goes back to off and then i have no sound but everything else works except the phone apps and everything else work except the sound and making and recieving a call what should i do...

hello, i just want to say thank you for the guide found in this site. my iphone is unlocked and working well. some people are trying to unlock their iphone w/ anysim and ran into problems. i found this website and hopefully it will help:

since my phone is already unlocked, i can't say for sure that this will work but give it a shot! it looks like it involves more steps than the guide found here. anyhow, good luck and take care!

AnySim v 1.02 hasnt worked that well for me because When I put AnySim in my IPhone and then try to run the process, I get processing thing saying copyin firmware....n then at the end, it doesn't unlock my iphone :-( why is that? I also need lockdown file please if someone has it?
