Hi

I'm a user for mcleaner from day one and now it seems when I update firmware I always have to install all the contacts once again, this is cumbersome as I have more than 100 plus contacts on my Mcleaner application.

Now i intend to have my 3G upgraded to 2.2.1 and comes to mind this issue.

Please can anybody tell me if there is a specific file in Mcleaner that keeps these blaclisted contacts and if yes where is it ?

I dont use that app, but is it in /var/mobile/Library? Look in that directory and see if there is a folder for Mcleaner. If so SSH it to your desktop before you upgrade. After you upgrade and rejailbreak, install Mcleaner again and SSH the file back to the appropriate location.
