2.2.1 Quickpwn won't jailbreak my iPhone.
I have restored my phone TWICE today because my phone won't boot after the jailbreak. Quickpwn tells me the jailbreak is successful, then it stays on the boot screen. I have run quickpwn approxiametly 5 times, and my iPhone wouldn't boot. I do not want to have to restore my phone if I run quickpwn again. Can someone help me? Thanks.
Nobody answers my questions this is making me pretty pissed off.Last edited by iDCP; 03-14-2009 at 07:11 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Incorrect use of the english language pisses me off. You said questionS and you only asked one.
And the question was asking if someone would help. How about not wasting people's time and just post your question so people can help instead of whining like a baby.

It could possibly be a corrupt firmware. I would try downloading a new version of 2.2.1 and a new version of Quickpwn 2.2-5. Make sure you are using the most recent version of Quickpwn found in our download section. Are you using this on AT&T? Your question was only posted an hour and a half ago... don't get all upset.

Ok... after you restore to 2.2.1 plug into iTunes to activate the phone. DO NOT restore from back-up. Set up as NEW. If I had to guess I'd say you're restoring from back-up and it's writing some plist files (such as com.springboard.plist) that the new firmware stock configuration doesn't like. Good luck.

I set it up as "new" each time. But I'll try again.
Okay, FINALLY, my screen is up, phone activated, and cydia and installer are on my home screen. Thanks for the help Poseidon, and sorry to defmute for complaining and being so rude to everyone.

Hey guys
im having the same problem, restored using 2.2.1 5H11 and then i jailbreaked it with quickpwn and it was successfull, but when i reboot it just sits on the apple icon. I read that you suggested to the previous person to restore then activate the phone as a new one before you jailbreak, however i cant do this because i just get the sim activation error, is this where i am going wrong? I bought the phone off ebay and it was already jailbroken and working no probs, could this be why i can get any further. I can access the root via diskaid after jailbreaking it and see all the files however itunes wont pick the device up, any ideas? Thanks.
ok guys sorry for all the messages and countless posts, just really want to sort this prob out
Ive managed to get this far now from trying everything ive read and been advised...
Restore to 2.2.1 5H11
Quickpwn
restart device
nothing happens
plug into itunes wait for 5min or more...
eventually picks up device and register it as a new iphone...
reboot...
gets stuck on apple screen..
use diskaid to move mobilewatchdog folder out and reboot..
wait for about 15min...
nothing.
plug into itunes, gets device could not be reconignsed, 0x00008 or something close to those numbers.
any ideas?Last edited by InspektaX; 04-14-2009 at 10:48 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Nope. As long as you have them backed up in itunes.
