    Default iHome App: Custom Swipes?

There is a new app in Cydia called iHome that allows you to swipe the area right above the home button to do a few things:

    -return to home screen
    -bring up power menu
    -turn off screen
    -take screen shot
    -maybe more?

    video found here

Its a pretty cool app but i was wondering if anybody knew how to edit .dylib files. That way, we can edit this .dylib file and then allow for custom app launches.

    Anybody familiar with .dylibs?

8Gig > 1.0 FW (dead spot on screen)
    8Gig > 1.0.2 FW (broken vibrate after a while)
    8Gig > 1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2(Jonny5 Still alive)

One function I like about it is, it brings you back to your first screen by clicking the homebutton. Do not care much for the swiping gestures.
Don't be shy if I helped you use the Thanks button, I do it.

Yeah, you're right. I forgot, I upgraded to FW 2.2 today and that feature came with the upgrade.

The swiping area is only at the bottom of the screen hence does not conflict with SBsettings. I've tried it and it works but it's a bit finicky....

Sliding is sometimes a hit and miss for me. I also found that it made typing the bottom row keys during text edit less sensitive for eg the space bar , "123" key is less sensitive as the bottom screen strip has been taken up by this app. (A yellow highlight strip will light up at the bottom part of the screen when the finger is touching the correct app swipe area)

I found using my home button much faster and more accurate

Nevertheless it is a very useful app for those with a broken home button

I might wait till it makes it to 1.0 .. it seems a little inconsistent.

yes, for what it does (and with a workin home button), unnecessary but with custom swipes i think it could be very useful for opening various apps and yes, i know sbsettings has a dock for quick access apps but it would save a swipe or two (or touch or two) with custom swipes with this program.

I love using the swipes. Even if my home button is functional.

i love using the swipes more than the home button as well. it makes using the phone experience more fluid. but what i would like to know is if there is a way that you can put some of those functions into sbsettings toggles.

The ones i use the most are Lock, Home, and iPod popup. If I had those as sbsettings toggles it would be heaven...
