SwapPhoto question

I don't think I have this app is working the way it's supposed to...?

I had several photos already on my phone, prior to installing SwapPhoto. Once installed, I open SwapPhoto and it closes after about 10 seconds. Nothing was changed - all my photos are still there, no new icon, etc.

So last night I added a few NEW pics to my album. Now when I open SwapPhoto (it still closes after 10 seconds) but the NEW pictures are gone. If i open SwapPhoto again, the NEW pictures reappear. Nothing happens with my original pictures.

Does this sound normal? I had invisioned the program adding another icon for the 2nd photo album.

I have 1.1.3 and am using the SwapPhoto version for 1.1.3.

Thanks!

That's not the way the swap programs work. SwapPhoto swaps your existing photo library for an entirely new library, the best way to make this work is by syncing your iPhone with iTunes under two different iPhone names.

Try to follow the logic.

1. You synced your photos with iTunes and created your photo album.
2. You ran SwapPhoto which created an entirely new library.
3. You added some photos, then synced those photos along with your original photos with iTunes.

Now, when you switch back and forth only your newly added photos seem to disappear and reappear. That's because you synced your original photos both times.

SwapPhoto (and SwapTunes and SwapLibrary) do not create new icons, they only change your Library name.

Okay, that makes sense. (THANK YOU!)

One question... how do I sync to iTunes with two different iPhone names?

That's trickier if you're only swapping your photo albums. If you use something like SwapLibrary, it will change all the libraries Music/Video/Photos. That way, the first time you run SwapLibrary, iTunes will recognize your iPhone as a brand new unit, and you can call it something different.

If you're only switching Photos, then what you would need to do (unfortunately each time you synced) is uncheck the photos from Album 1 and check the photos from Album 2. And vice versa. I used to do that until I utilized SwapLibrary, even if you don't care about the Music/Videos part.
