Screw iRealSMS
Ok, so as some of you know im sure, I am an avid user of iRealSMS and love their software. But apparently, you are only allowed one serial replacement in case you get your iPhone exchanged due to manufacturer defects. I just got a replacement yesterday and emailed iReal about it and they said they only give one serial replacement. Well, here's the convo:
Me: "Hello. My iPhone had problems and I just got a replacement today and need my serial number changed so my license for iRealSMS will work. My new serial is 5K*********. Thanks."
Their reply: "Hello this is the 3rd replacement
Only one license change is granted normally..."
So I replied: "So let me get this straight. You guys charged a pretty hefty amount for your first version of software /and/ for an update to your software that I had already purchased and because Apple, the makers of the iPhone, have given me faulty hardware resulting in me needing replacements, you will not give me a new serial for my iPhone even though I have paid you people twice in the past for your software. I own a license to your software, I paid for it, and no where on your website does it say I only get one license change. I own a license and I am entitled to have a working serial no matter how many times I have to exchange my phone with Apple due to faulty hardware. I expect a working license for my new phone or a refund so I can go buy an SMS application who's developers have the customer's best interests at heart. Thank you."
In retrospect it might have been a little harsh but I am pretty much done with iReal. Is mySMS like this about their licenses or no? I am thinking of switching to either mySMS or biteSMSiLive an iLife

I would have to agree with PHAT, Bernie.... although there might be some ethical and moral issues involved with using a cracked app..... You LEGALLY purchased their product.
Take this into consideration, upon the next Firmware update apple introduces, ANY developer has the choice NOT to further develop their product, leaving all the legitimate owners who purchased a product is left with an unusable program. I think of it as just 'STICKING IT TO THE MAN'
I say you CRACK!!!!!8Gig > 1.0 FW (dead spot on screen)
8Gig > 1.0.2 FW (broken vibrate after a while)
8Gig > 1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2(Jonny5 Still alive)
