Default I am an Idiot. Please help me. (Cydia/BossPrefs)

Ok, i had bossprefs installed. I hid cydia and installer. I then updated my iPhone to 2.2.1 and jailbroke it. Using iPhoneBrowser, i can see it is jailbroken and cydia/Installer is there. but no icons are appearing. I think its to do with me hiding them, and i cant get them to appear again, is there any way using only iphonebrowser that i can get at least cydia to display.

    Thanks

Did you do a full restore when you update? Not just the update button? I would completely restore you iphone to original firmware. Do not backup from old iphone. Then rejailbreak it.

Haha! fixed it with a seemingly simple but random solution. All you needed to do was turn restrictions on then off again.

Anyone know why excatly that would to anything?

i believe it is because it uses the same 'HIDE/SHOW' method that bigboss uses... setting and unsetting restrictions unhides all apps from the springboard plist

    I THINK..............
8Gig > 1.0 FW (dead spot on screen)
    8Gig > 1.0.2 FW (broken vibrate after a while)
    8Gig > 1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2(Jonny5 Still alive)

why are you still using BossPrefs? That app wont be updated any more as he created SBsettings which can be accessed on top of any open app quickly. (way nicer)

i use both, because, for me atleast, sbs uses springboard so if i run lot of apps in there its gonna eat up alot of memory hence crashing my cydia, safari etc, so my solution is, i set all my apps through categories, put it in boss prep. and wolla now runnign 50to 60 mb on my iphone, less crashes. i use sbs to spring, reboot only.

Why use BossPrefs? Your not going to get anymore updates for it - I'd remove BossPrefs and look for SBSettings. SBSettings is way much easier to access and can recover lost icons, etc. Just look on Cydia/Installer for it!
