Had the same problem.....here's what you do.
Hi guys,
A couple of days ago....I updated my firmware from 1.1.1 to 1.1.3, and customize did the same thing to me. I found help in the MMi forum. So, here's what you need to do......works great.
1) go to INSTALLER
2) hit SOURCES
3) hit EDIT
4) hit ADD
5) type in ..... www.touchrepo.com/repo.xml then hit OK
6) hit DONE
7) hit REFRESH
8) go back to INSTALL screen and enter Utilities
9) find Customize 1.21 (custom), 2"
10) install it
And you are good to go!!!!!
Hope this helps......
Please hit the thank you button if this helped you.

Not very nice bro,he had his reasons. Anyway try this:
1)Install the original version of customize(ver 1.21)
2)uninstall said version
3)add this source in installer http://www.dlubbat.com/iphone.xml
4)install that version of customize (ver 1.21(custom),2)
5)restart springboard and reboot phone
It should work after that, works for me and I'm upgraded to 1.1.4(ziphone)
By the way not all features are functional for example carrier icons,no. of docks, and some other stuff but most of it works. Hope that helps

Restart springboard is the action that is automatically done after you install something..
Or, manually, it is just basically putting the phone to sleep and unlocking again.Proud MMi Retired Moderator.

It's not the programmers. It's the fact that Apple comes out with new firmware versions so fast, all without the benefit of documentation, the programmers basically have to start from scratch each time when updating their Apps.
I don't care what the benefits might be, I wouldn't trick the iPhone into thinking its an earlier anything.Last edited by Eurisko; 03-04-2008 at 11:57 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

Using the patch the trick the iphone into thinking it's running 1.1.3 is teh same as manually editing the plist file. It won't hurt anything, and you can change it back right after installation.

I got Customize working but it won't save any of the changes I make......like hiding an icon. Any advice?

For hiding icons with 1.1.3/1.1.4, use an app called Poof, it is proven...
