iRealSMS 2.0.7.1 Crashing
OK, so this morning I installed a new version of iRealSMS (v2.0.7.1) and now sometimes, though not always, iRealSMS crashes when I press send, and it does not send the Text. So, I go back in and rewrite the text and then press send and it sends fine. Also sometimes when I try to send the text a message comes up saying something like "error cannot send text reboot iphone" blah blah, so I reboot but the problem persists.
help!

maybe its crashing because it I read in the changelog that the new version will run in the background to eliminate load times... maybe because of this it is using too much system memory and is crashing?? Just like when you have too many tabs open in safari or you load a really graphic intensive site... it crashes.
Just a wild guess. I havent tried the new version.

If you have SB Settings installed see how much syste memory you have.... if you have below 20MB is probly the culprit.

I have 13MB system memory left with quick reply and everything with the new Irealsms released today, texted over a 100 times with no problem.... BUT I got some error for my first text message that told me I need to reboot after install. Did you try that?

I can't imagine anything better than the last release. Works perfect for me.... think I'll just stay put. It conflicts with Mcleaner, but I just turned MCleaner off since I'd rather have ireal.

Yesterday I had two issues where I was using the app, and all of a sudden, the phone went into Safe Mode.
The only other problem I'm having is that my Outbox messages keep deleting themselves if the network couldn't send them the first time.

Yes! Exactly! I have rebooted many times, and now I am going to install SBSettings to see how much system memory I have left, if it's below twenty MB all I have to do is delete some apps right?Yesterday I had two issues where I was using the app, and all of a sudden, the phone went into Safe Mode.
The only other problem I'm having is that my Outbox messages keep deleting themselves if the network couldn't send them the first time.
Sbsettings says I have at least 25MB of memory at all times so thats not the problem, also, it just did it again, and I had enough memory..... so... its just a bug i guessLast edited by jiniej; 01-19-2009 at 07:10 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

01-20-2009, 12:24 PM #8You might wanna check out the update.---------------------------------------------------------------------
2.0.7.2 01.20.2009
- you can now activate or purchase while in trial mode from the settings tab
bugfixes:
- bugs with new QuickReply
- small improvements
- bug with sendMessagesFromOutbox on startup
- bug with MasterPassword and run in background
- deleting last message in conversation crashed
---------------------------------------------------------------------
It's being listed on Cydia as 2.0.7.3, though the app and the page clearly state it's 2.0.7.2. I wonder why.

The "bug" with Quickreply i was having is if I got multiple messages in a row and closed them all instead of replying it would crash to safemode every single time. i just installed the update and I'll see if that fixes it.
