OH MY GOD! I see what they've done. GENIUS! you can have a transparent dock now! no need to match it anymore!!!!!
I think now if we could just choose a wallpaper just for Summerboard (i.e. not the lockscreen wallpaper) it would be perfect. I don't even mind the dimming so much now.

here ya go...
that's a completely transparent PNG sized exactly to the size of the dock. Load that up and no matter what wallpaper you load, it will show through this dock.
EDIT: right click on that link and "save link as" because if you open it in a browser window, you will not see anything

Amazing, this was the one thing that was really bugging me about the Summerboard and now its been taken care of. I guess some people still want option for different backgrounds for the lock and for the board, personally I dont really care, but once that gets taken care of it will be complete
Does anyone have a dock thats slightly tinted? to match the top status bar thats slightly darker but still see-through?

Ok - not only did this update fix my bizarre home screen not loading thing .... the transparent dock ability has made theming a non-issue for much of what I like. Summerboard team - you rock. Where do I donate? You deserve it.

Make up a quick transparent Leopard Dock for the stock icons.
IMO it looks great
As I type 1.82 has just been released on installer; I afraid to update, I like 1.81 so far.
Version 1.82, the dock seems to appear quicker than 1.81

One thing I do love is LOTS of updates.
And yes, the dock does appear a little faster!

With 1.8 the scrolling is still off. I can scroll my icons up and they don't move back down into position, kind of under the menubar by maybe 10 - 15 pixles. Just odd

We still need release notes...
