sms repeat notification

is it possible on the the iPhone 3G with 2.x running to have repeating noises or beeps on unanswered SMS messages?
i need to know if an SMS comes to my iPhone at 2am it will continue to beep every 1 minute until i look at it?

thanks but i really do not want to have to jailbreak.
