MxTube? What's the deal?

Ok 2.x iphone OS is great. 99% of the original installer apps are ported over to Cydia (I love it). I would like to download Mxtube, but not at the expense of possibly bricking my phone. Can anybody explain why is there a rumor about it possibly bricking the iPhone 2.x.

MxTube has been working fine for me from 1.1.4 to 2.1 now on 2.2.

No issues and not 'bricked'

My CONCERN

Of course this app is not allowed on the appstore so you will have to pwn your iPhone to get it. OSX | Windows

The new version of this application has more options that the previous one. This version of MxTube allows you to stream the Youtube videos on your iPhone as well, making it a full replacement for the default Youtube application on your iPhone. You can now select what quality you want to steam the videos in and what quality you want to download the videos in.

MxTube is available in Cydia from the BigBoss source.

cash edit: be careful this alpha version is rumored to have the ability to brick a phone
cash edit's comment is my concern

I've never had ANY problems with MxTube from 1.1.4 to 2.2. Never heard of any 'bricking' with this app either.

the edit from cash state that it was an aplha version.. I believe it has been updated since then for 2.1+ I have used it with no problems.. So give it a go dude. I highly doubt it cant brick your phone as it doesnt really mess with your core folders. And you can always restore if something went wrong.. go for it
