Can't OpenSSH Iphone 2.2

Hi, I have an Iphone running 2.2 firmware, jailbroken using QuickPwn 2.2. I have been trying all day to OpenSSH but to no avail. I am running Vista and have tried WinSCP and CuteFtp, both gives me the same result, network timeout. I have tried everything according to multiple guides on the web and here but it just seems as if it's not there. Is there any setting I need to change on my router (TrendNet 652BRP)? I've also disabled all firewall...

I have installd OpenSSH through Cydia, have kept Iphone awake the entire time, have check that I have the right IP, I've reset the phone a few times...

Also, do I need the BDS Subsystem on the 2.2 phone? I can't find it in any download directory, either Installer or Cydia. And after installing OpenSSH, do I need to configure it in anyway (I don't even see it anywhere).

Thanks for reading, any help or comment is appreciated.

your fine. it just takes a long time to get connected the first time with 2.2 via winscp. it took me about an hour of trying over and over to get it. just keep trying and dont cancel out when it asks you to (like after the 15 seconds that pop up comes up) youll get it. if your still having issues let us know

Fixed it

Hi, thanks for the tip, I have fixed the problem. There was a setting in my router called "Wifi Protected Setup". After disabling it it worked like a charm.

OpenSSH, what a mythical function...

Something similar is happening to me. It just started a couple of days ago, when I can't connect via WinSCP. I keep getting an error saying "Connection Refused". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

there is iphonebrowser and iphonetunnel which are good applications but when it comes to changing file permissions i need winscp. if you just want to like att themes and what not (stuff NOT requiring you to change file properties) keep to iphone browser. VERY easy to use application

iPhone PC Suite can SSH without Wifi and change permissions. It automacicaly searches for the last version, and upgrade. So you will always have the latest version. There are some parts of the program that are not in English, but some sort of asian language.

This is funny. My first post. Anyways, I dumped this program like a bad habit. I have never seen something that works this bad. I am able to connect to the iphone without a problem. But everytime I do something, like change directory, I lose my connection. EVERYTIME. I FINALLY got to the directory I was trying to get to, and I tried 15 times to transfer the file over and it still disconnected me. Not a problem. When you spend 2 hours trying to get something to work, and it doesn't work, then it has to go.

Sorry if this is blunt, but it's a real pisser when people keep telling you how GREAT something works, yet it doesn't work. So maybe it's my setup. Who knows, but since EVERYTHING else I own works just fine on my wifi, and I can connect just fine with my iphone to the wifi, it has to be software related.
