Does disabling EDGE with SBSettings also disable GPRS?
I searched and didn't find an answer. I assume it does, because I can't access cellular data at all when I disable EDGE, but I want to make sure before I travel overseas and potentially run up ahige data bill if wi-fi drops out.
Thanks in advance.

no. it disables google maps from refreshing, but the GPS works via a completely different component I believe. It still worked even without a sim card in mine... I had wifi at home, left the house(out of the wifi area), and the dot continued to move across even when the map had no connection to refresh the map.
I could be wrong of course, but this was my experience.iRealSMS - your REAL native landscape SMS app on the iPhone
PwnTunes - Sync, Save, Share...
PhotoAlbums+ - Take Control of your Camera Roll
More new and exciting apps to come!

GPRS will still be active. For example if you don't subscribe to a data plan you can still send/receive MMS because this is GPRS.
