RipDev's PUSHER and Springboard
I've been reading around and it sounds like RipDev's Pusher allows the changing of the springboard... But thats all I've herd. How is this done, I assume you can change the background to your own pictures??? Is this correct? and if so, How can we duplicate this process without using "Pusher" I really want to get rid of my black springboard screen... and replace it with a custom picture... but I DO-NOT want to download Winterboard... It seamed to significantly slow down my 2.1 FW.
Oh yeah, BTW I have 1'st gen phone running 2.2 FW, jailbroken by QuickPWN.
thanks in advance,
MrB8Gig > 1.0 FW (dead spot on screen)
8Gig > 1.0.2 FW (broken vibrate after a while)
8Gig > 1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2(Jonny5 Still alive)

I was just about to ask this question! Is there a way to do this without using pusher? cause I cant live without cydia. And pusher probably doesnt let you ignore the baseband upgrade... which will kill my virgin sim on my 3G.
What the hell happened to customize 2.0? It seems that since winterboard, all development on it has stopped. I dont even think the message fourm for it exists anymore.
I used to be a die hard user of winterboard. Loved it! But then I uninstalled it one day, and I fell in love with my phone again, because I forgot how fast it used to be... winterboard slows the iphone down considerably.iRealSMS - your REAL native landscape SMS app on the iPhone

Really need an answer here...8Gig > 1.0 FW (dead spot on screen)
8Gig > 1.0.2 FW (broken vibrate after a while)
8Gig > 1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2(Jonny5 Still alive)

only way to have a background for your springboard is to use winterboard, I guess u can use this pusher thing now to aswell, dont use installer, so i wouldnt know, But the only way is to either use that or winterboard, other images such as homescreen icons and sliders can be changed manually, but to have the background you must use winterboard.. sorry

I know this is an old thread, but couldn't you just jailbreak normally first, and don't install installer, and then use pusher afterwards (or the other way arround, idk)? I would have done it, but pusher doent work on ipod's. Anyway anyone could upload that change backround thingy?
