    Oh, I got an idea.....

Did you set the permissions on the ROM files to 0777 when you SSH'ed them into the phone? If not, the phone doesnt have permission to access them, and it will crash.

Ok cool that sounds good but ummm how in the world would I set permissions on the file? (I'm a newb when it comes to these things)

Ok well I found how to do that, I went into the file and got into properties and changed the Octal to 0777 and nothing it still wont work is there something more I need to do?

Please someone HELP! I really want to play Mario...Anybody know what I'm doing wrong???

i would attempt to start the whole NES project from scratch so that you can just have it set up for 2.2 right away. that may be your best bet. as far as setting properties i guess you got that but if your using Winscp just right click on the file and go to properties and just set it to 777. if that doesnt work im out of ideas on this one.

Ok I will try that...thank you, I don't really want to upgrade to 2.2 thou.

Alrighty well I tried the 777 still didn't work...then tried to remove and re-install NES now it doesn't even open, I guess I'm doomed I was not meant to play Mario

if its a first generation iphone then dont even hesitate to update to 2.2...if you do it right it works awesome and is way faster in my opinion. just follow this guide and youll be all set to go with 2.2

My NES was working fine on 2.2 (1st Generation). Just went on Cydia and there was an upgrade on there, so I upgraded, and now it just crashes.
