    Default Mobilephone.app

I was tinkering around with the stock mobilephone app on WINscp. And of course, I f'd it up. After trying something, I decided to give it up and deleted the edited mobilephone.app folder. However, I backed it up earlier, so I just copied the ORIGINAL file back into "Applications". I rebooted phone, clicked on the native "phone" app, it loaded, then crashed. It continues to do that. I checked the file and all original folders/files are included. Any way to correct this?

Note: I've learned my lesson! I would love to hear your suggestions, as long as they don't include "you shouldn't be fooling around in the first place". Thanks.

Change permissions to 755 or 775. Set it recursively.

You must use a SSH/SFTP client.
    Changing permissions is called CHMOD.
You also need to have openSSH installed.

On windows, we use WinSCP. You just right click the folder -> properties -> set the number to 0775 and click recursively.

You can do it using MobileTerminal too, but it's kinda boring

Today i went to replace the icon.png for the mobile phone app through iPhone Explorer. I got an error when renaming the original icon, and all of a sudden the mobilephone.app folder is no where to be found.

Anyone have a backup of this folder they could send my way so that i dont have to restore the entire phone?

    Thanks

EDIT: I am on OS 3.1. I've search and found a 1.1.4 replacement, but not sure that would even work. thoughts?

In WinSCP, right click on the Mobilephone.app folder, and at the bottom, check the checkbox and it will work ok.

    Thumbs up Thank you!!!

just wanted to reiterate the thanks above for the 0775/set recursively fix. My phone app kept crashing as well, despite reinstalling the backed up mobilephone.app file to winscp after my changes didn't work correctly. I went in and changed the settings as suggested, and SUCCESS! I can now use my phone as a phone again - imagine that.
