How about a way to reset the trial period... Anyone?? I poked around the FS but didn't see anything obvious, plus the iphone does not have a native plist editor (that I'm aware of) so I wasn't able to dig very deep

downgrade to v1.33 and you won't have that problem, I think v1.4x is just the same core, just the trial crap added

@bsurt. I see the instructions in this thread 'how' to install a prior version ... but nowhere does it say 'where' to get it!! Is that a MMI no-no!!

Actually, according to the version history:
http://www.junefabrics.com/iphone/updatehistory.php
1.40 was a big jump, including VPN support, much improved battery life and connection speed. So... It's not really the same.

Notice: PDANet posted a new version 1.50. Supporting tethering via USB. Nice option, but wish there was an easy way to turn off Cydia's upgrade notice. I'm happy with my free version (1.33) and don't feel like going thru the upgrade/re-copy the old (1.33) files. Haven't installed it yet as I worry it'll be more difficult to downgrade and also retain free capabilities and no trial alerts.

Ok, well now that the new 1.50 version is out, the usb tethering mode is great.. it creates a dialup modem connection via the com port... but i was wondering if we could just use that process, rid of pdanet... and do it ourself, create the connection and a deamon or something... any ideas on how to go about this
