MySMS vs BiteSMS

So there is a new SMS app on Cydia called MySMS and I must say its pretty nice but I cant tell which I like better:

MySMS or BiteSMS (send via Carrier)?

I must start by saying I have only used these apps for about a day, so I guess I do not know their full potential but this is what I do like...

I like MySMS because it has a lot of nice features like the landscape keyboard, templates, character / message count, the ability to turn off auto-correction, ability to turn off auto-capitalization, ability to hit 'Return' twice to send the message, and can set a master password so nobody can access the app. However, Im not sure if I like the look of the application.

I like BiteSMS mostly because it looks very similar (almost exact) to the default app. And BiteSMS also has a character / message counter as well as a landscape keyboard but thats about it.

So do I take those extra features from MySMS and use that instead of BiteSMS which looks and feels more like the default SMS app?

Which app do you guys think is better, MySMS or BiteSMS? (please list pros and cons for your choices)

I thought that BiteSMS had the same features. I love using BiteSMS, it does have landscape, turn off auto correct, character and message count and even delete and forward a specific message. I really like it and although i haven't tried MySMS i would still recommend BiteSMS to anyone.

you're right, my bad, BiteSMS does have auto-correction on/off...

question tho, how do u forward/delete specific messages in BiteSMS? I dont see that option, and that (i think) isnt included in MySMS.

Slide your finger over the message bubble.

Swipe your finger across the text bubble and you'll get a pop up to fwd the text.

yup! right swipe, and you can also include your location via google maps and a contact number which makes it easier than exiting out and remembering someone's phone number.

you might wanna check out the 'SETTINGS' area-

and I dont like MYsms at all... first off half my numbers came it as Numbers and Not My Contacts Name as they should be.

My Bubbles went back to Stock along with my backround. Youd think support for winterboard would be in there.

They push the idea encryption side of the app however when you access the app you notice is 5.00 for the normal app and 25.00 for the encryption.

BLEH... i'll wait the 5 seconds for the normal SMS app and deal without the landscape, I have thus far.

Carrbone, I know i can completely turn off auto-capitalization for the entire phone but i like it in emails.... I was just pointing out the fact that u could disable it in JUST SMS.

Thanks to everyone else who helped with the forward/delete individual messages.

By far my fav feature in the app... Alot more secure. I still have people thinking I cant delete messages, until they happen to slide their finger across a message.

Support for winterboard would need to be added into winterboard and not the app.

I have used irealsms, bitesms, and now mysms. This far I like mysms because the whole app can be used in landscape. Not just typing. This may not matter to some of you guys but it's important to me. Untill apple gets a clue and adds a landscape/portrait setting for the whole phone this will do.

Bitesms was good as well. I just dont have a need for knowing how many letters I have typed. No need for forwarding text.

Just my .02

definetly bitesms, guess why?
first it is almost exactly the stock sms app which i like
second 5$ for 50 sms whoaaaaaa for 50 sms in my country it is 15$ :@:@
so bitesms is awesome plus it sends the message as if u are sending it, by that i mean it shows on my friends phone my number as the sender its like just sending a real sms but for cheap

biteSMS is free - if you use the 'Send via Carrier' method
