Has anyone been able to use either one of these apps to set permssions?
I doesn't seem to be able to save or apply the changes.

Thanks for the link. But I think I'll wait for a patch or new release.

Install OpenSSH and then use the chmod command in Term-vt100.

    How would one do that?
Or better question would be, what is the easiest way to set permissions using windows?

yes, there is a patched version done by the iClarified guys. it's not a new version but at least this one works just fine. just install the mobilefinder app from their repo under iClarified category. works perfectly on my 1.1.4.
