    Default What is IPatcher?

    Hey all.

Just wondering what the Cydia app "IPatcher" is?

It says it removes the Brick Mode from the phone, but how and why?

There are so many misuses of the term "Brick Mode": locked-up screen, ALOD, SWOD, no phone/WiFi, etc . . .

So what does this fix? Anyone know? I haven't heard of iphone really bricked and unrestorable in quite awhile.

    Thanks in advance . . .

    I wouldn't get it.

If I'm thinking of he right app, last time it was released it said it disables some 2nd security thing that cracked AppStore apps have.
Then after a little bit of googling, it turns out it actually deleted your cracked apps.

No, I'm not trying to bring warez into here, I'm just trying to educate him.

Thanks for the reply, but I think it is something else . . .

It is maitained by Suarik, so is not for cracked stuff. I also don't do cracked stuff, just for disclosure.

    Still looking . . .

Oh crap, you're right. The app was "Patchulous" or something like that. My mistake.

Would "brick mode" be considered "safe mode" which people have been complaining about?

Brick mode became a nonissue around 2.* or sooner far as i remember. So no you don't need it. You're quite safe if you've made it past the pwnage process.
