Voipover3g

Here's something that I just tried out and realized was pretty cool.

using Voipover3g+Air Sharing (or any other file software from the app store) you can create a little pocket server over 3g. all you have to do is sign into the data ip address for your iphone (can be seen on bossprefs or sbprefs.

I'm really impressed that it can be done that easily. Almost makes up for the HUGE oversight that is no USB memory usage on a 16GB drive...

Thank goodness for unlimited bandwith...

@kaician. Sounds great ..... but can you provide a few more details? What apps you're using, how to configure them, how you started them, and anything else you can think of that will help us out? Thanks in advance.

any one get this to work with 3.0 beta 5? or is the jail break not complete? reason why backgrounder will not work. this is from the backgrounder dev:

"According to saurik (as of a few days ago), the current jailbreak does not support the use of mprotect. Currently, it is possible to hook Objective-C methods, but not C functions.

Regardless of whether the issue lies with mobilesubstrate or with Backgrounder, I will not be able to work on 3.0 support until 3.0 is officially released and a proper jailbreak is available."
