    Default itunes problem

    hey

    my itunes take forever to sync..can someone help me/?

    it takes more than 30 min now..

    Thats about right. If you cancel out of the "backup" part of the sync, it will be alot faster. But you will have no current backup.

    no i had to unlock the phone again....after i unlocked i tried to sync..n it worked..after i cudnt see the mp3 files on ipod but it was on ssh..like on itunes blue color box in the buttom said i had 4GB of others..so i synced again..and too slow now

    If you would like to list the exact process, from beginning of problem (causing you to "unlock" again - or restore, etc) till end I take a look. But sounds like whatever you did was goofed a little.....might want to do a "clean" restore and start from scratch.

    Q 1:Did you at any point use the program 'swaptunes'?
    Q 2:Did you restore from an itunes back up?

    YES!

    i donwloaded swaptunes...thats why i had to reunlock all..because i was not able to see any mp3 files on itunes since i didnt know how swaptunes works. and yh i did restore from an i

    What swaptunes does is create two music libraries on your phone, so that you can can sync with two computers. What you want to do is run swaptunes again so that your computer recognizes the songs.

    Yah i got it now, but i unlocked my phone again so that the 2 folder created has gone now. its a fresh phone now and i have mp3 files on my ipod and i could see everyting fine but only itunes sync slowly

    restore it (don't use the backup this time.), jailbreak again. It should work okay after then.

    I gave up on iTunes a while ago because of this kind of problems.

    I manage my iPhone with a free alternative named CopyTrans Manager
