What are the Best ROM's to Play?
I love having console emulators on my iPhone. However, my enjoyment has been met with limited success. While some games play well on the iPhone, others run extremely slowly. Perhaps we could come up with some sort of list of the ROM's that work best with the different emulators?
Works Well: Mario Kart Super Circuit, Need for Speed, Sonic Spinball
Doesn't Work (runs slowwww): Mario Tennis, Mario Golf
NES- all games seem to work well
SNES: no real problems encountered though Earthworm jim runs a little slow
PSX: nothing i've tried runs smoothly, any suggestions?

SCUMMVM is awsome. The games are actually somewhat improved on a touch interface. It allows for a slightly for immersive gameplay. Though sometimes it can be hard to select the command you want.
I have all the games. I couldn't figure out how to play Beneath the Steel Sky with the iphone interface though.

First can I use the NES roms?

for the snes emulator have the Zodttd.com/repo source
SCUMMVM is not for NES games, it's used to play LucasArts (and others) Graphical Adventure Games like "Day of The tentacle," "Sam and Max Hit the Road," "Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis," "Monkey Island" , and others. These games can be downloaded from Abandonware and Torrent sites. There are often talkie (with audio dialougue) and non-talkie versions of each game with the talkie versions taking up more space. SCUMMVM can play Scumm games from any platform: DOS, Mac, Windows, AMIGA, anything! Just make sure you have a working game folder and place it anywhere on your iphone (make sure the directory has been chmodded to 755) Then navigate to that folder using SCUMMVM on your iphone and your ready to go. I suggest reading the SCUMMVM iphone wiki for the controls.
