Why use MyFox?
I looked around online, and can't find any reason MyFox is a better alternative on the iPhone that Safari. Anyone know what gives?

what's a native app?
And I have indeed tried MyFox for myself and I don't notice a single difference... That's why I'm asking here why I should use it.

there are not many differences between safari and myfox.... i think the major reason many people are using myfox is because there is a fullscreen option, no menubar, no url bar.... just 3 and 1/2 inches of internet.... i believe you can also toggle the screen rotation.
i think it was intensionally made as a point of concept... showing that it was possible to run a different web server and also creating plug-ins for the alternative web browser....
hope this helps...8Gig > 1.0 FW (dead spot on screen)
8Gig > 1.0.2 FW (broken vibrate after a while)
8Gig > 1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2(Jonny5 Still alive)

Ah, the fullscreen doesn't work for me anyways as it messes up the screen

But thanks a lot for the info!

I did a write up on MyFox over at InstallerApps, check it out.

i use myfox whenever i want to browse the web laying down on my side. i know thats silly, but thats when auto-rotation pisses me off. think about it.
also i use myfox whenever i'm doing a lot of web based reading for the full screen. i think a lot of people think the full screen doesn't work for them, cuz its not well explained. you have to make sure its turned on, and then give your phone/pod a little shake. the accelorometer makes it switch between full and standard view. it took me a a google search to figure that out.
that said, i dont' use it often. but when i want it, its quite handy ((until i need a safari bookmark
and i can't even copy the address from safari and take it to myfox >
))
anyways. THATS "why use myfox"

I see how it could be handy, now. I guess I was just expecting a difference like there is between Firefox and Internet Explorer-something completely and drastically different.
How naive of me

I wish a browser supported clicking a link and allowing you to open it up in a new page
