    Default Best RSS??

    Hey all . . .

    Quick question:

What is the best RSS app?

    My wish list:
    - Automatically updates feeds via timer.
    - Displays unread feeds via icon bubble.
    - Then can be configed to show icon via Status Notifier.
    - Syncs with Google Reader both ways.
    - Able to add feeds via the iphone.
    - Can open feed in the app, instead of Safari.

I cannot seem to find any reader that will auto-check feeds. In 1.1.x, I had one that would, and I have "Feeds" that has an option in Settings, but doesn't do anything.

I would guess that Apple will not let appstore apps autocheck, but maybe a Third-party?

    Anyway, thanks in advance . . .

    JBreckeen.

Closest thing your looking for is Byline, but does not do an autocheck which sucks.

In Cydia search for GRiS. Specifically made to work with Google Reader.

While it doesn't do everything you want, I find it very nice. You have to manually sync by tapping a button, but I expect that will change over time. It's a pretty new app.

None of them autocheck unless you're actually in the feed program.

However, "Web Feeds" from appstore is everything you want, including autocheck when you load the program.

In fact, it's the best one out of the 6 I've tried.

    Default Thanks

Thanks all, but as you all pointed out, what I seek does not exist - yet.

It is odd that in 1.1.x, there was a RSS that auto-checked. I know most of the devs are concentrating on the app-store, but I wish one of the app-store authors were to release a clandestine version - no connection obviously - which would do all the goodies . . .

    Anyway, patience is needed I guess . . .

    Thanks for listening.

    JBreckeen.
