They definitely are. This isn't a problem of me doing something stupid, it seriously just doesn't work for me. Wifi vs EDGE doesn't make any difference (other than signing on under EDGE will kick my laptop's Adium offline whereas on wifi it doesnt).

On AIM, I see..6 people online from my laptop. Opening ApolloIM shows none of them. It just shows one random person, and he's not even online. If people IM me, then it shows them on my buddy list (but their icons are red as if they're offline).

Hmm. Who knows then, working fine for many! Hopefully an update will fix the issue for you. Perhaps a simple uninstall and reinstall?

I checked the processes, and mChat floats consistently at 4 or 5% CPU while Apollo spends more of its time at 0%. This would make me think that Apollo is easier on the battery except it does some weird, but less frequent, spikes to -2000% CPU. So who knows which is more battery friendly.

Matter of opinion.. Currently Mobile Chat doesnt hold my login/pass, and no visual notification from springboard.. Which are major issues for me..

So I'm leaning towards ApolloIM..

yes, it will show the circular red bubble with # of messages received, similar to mail/sms. the program will keep you signed in via edge, but wifi keep alive isn't finished yet.

i have no problems connecting via wifi. however, some people have said its certain router configurations causing issues, so im sure something will have to be sorted out in the source to eliminate that problem.

For now, I use both since I have two accounts. I like the Away message with Mobilechat. I like the SAVE account function with ApolloIM. I'm sure in a couple of weeks both will have similar functions..hehehe

Apollo doesn't work most of the time for me.
