To use the Status Bar Notifier icons install both Status Bar Notifier and Big Boss's Notifier and go to:

/Library/Themes/StatusNotifier Replacement.theme/Bundles/com.apple.springboard

Change the file names of the PNGs so they match the ones used by Notifier (For voicemail I used a copy of SMS for now):

Default_NCALL.png
Default_NMAIL1.png
Default_NSMS.png
Default_NVMAIL.png
FSO_NCALL.png
FSO_NMAIL1.png
FSO_NSMS.png
FSO_NVMAIL.png

Turn on the "StatusNotifier Replacement" theme in winterboard.

Done! You can now uninstall the Status Notifier as the theme is listed separately in Cydia. Please note though that any updates to the theme in Cydia will wipe your changes so make a copy of the theme with a name of your choice then delete the original theme using Cydia.

I have installed Notifier and the Winterboard theme containing this files (Post from persichini), the only icon that doesn't change in comparison with the original ones is the IM-icon. it's always this ugly msn-buddy-icon. what is the filename to change the icon?

Satusnotifier works ok on 3.0, at least for Lockinfo purposes

for call calls and voicemail prefs, i have it set to these:
Use Statsubar Icon: On
Repeat Mode: On
Work Interval 8am-11:59pm
Time Interval: 15

i was expecting to hear a chime or alert every 15 minutes when i have a missed call or voicemail between work interval hours, but nothing is happening.

Go in to the Setup screen and select a sound ... make sure it plays after it's selected.

Also, in that same Setup screen, I have 'Use Silent Icon' and Use Call Forward Icon' off.

If that doesn't work. Set time interval to 1 and work interval to the maximum and test.

BTW: I've never used the work interval option, but the rest works for me

Mes, thanks. i never even realized that the tool icon in the upper right went to a setup screen.

all sounds were set to default, so i set the call and voicemail ones manually. i assume default = no sound.

i'll have to test it later when i get a call, but i think it should work now.

i also set the "Use Silent Icon" to ON so i can tell if i accidentally turned off the ringer. that would've came in handy in the past.

Do both of these work on 3.0? I thought notifier was only for 2.X

nope notifier is the only one really working in OS 3, there is a version of statusnotifier for 0s3 but reminders do not work

yes it works for im+ on 3.0. you get the little buddy icon in the status bar and on the lock screen you see the im+ icon.

I'm on 3.1.2 now and using big boss notified. For some reason it doesn't show the email icon when I receive any mail. Has anybody got any idea?!

It looks like BB's Notifier's icons hide when there are more than 3 icons in status bar. I have Alarm, Battery percentage and battery by default. So, when I get mail there are 4 icons in total. If I turn on music there's iPod icon added and mail icon disappears. Same with Silent or even Scrobbl.

Oh, yes, and I have Date - Time enabled.
