you can change the reminder interval by editing the plist. its under /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.otyo.StatusNotifier.plist if you don't like it notifing you try setting it to 0 if that doesn't work set it to 1,000,000,000. i would assume thats a big enough number it would take quite a long time for it to remind you.

Persichini will this work for Notifier (BB) - or just Status Notifier?

I'm using BB Notifier and have te same issue as AKA_Ben. However, no plist, shows for it. Unless I'm missing something....

Thanks

Awww, I got all excited - I emailed the dev though. Hopefully he'll add a toggle to preferences or something.

Why don't you guy just use status notifier? It has real time update now because it's using mobilesubstrate. Plus, you have the option of having a reminder or not, the interval between each reminder, and how many times to be reminded.

I really did not want to install winterboard. So was hoping to have a notifier app which would not require this.

Why? It's the coolest app out there. Because it slows down the firmware?

New one doesn't require Winterboard. Notifier and Statues Notifier are about on the same page again.

How about lock screen icons? Does Notifier display them? If yes, they are on the same page. If not, it's a big plus for Status Notifier

Notifier (Big Boss) has been updated to version 1.3-1. Includes a fix to the alert repeat issue from the previous version. Plus adds a clean interface application called "Reminder" to set reminder times or turn them off. Nice, clean, simple. Of course you can always change the icons as described earlier in this thread.

Ok, I've been searching around for days... with no LUCK!

Ok, I have changed all 6 of the notifier icon that I wanted changed in root/library/coreservice/springboard.app/ but they are not changing! Are they saved somewhere else also?

I have gone back in and checked and they are changed to the ones I want, yet the stock ones are still showing in the status bar!

Are you serious?
SN doesn't need WB anymore?

From now, I hadn't installed it because of this.
After messing up and freakin' out with Kate, I'm always a bit paranoid installing new software: really don't want slowdowns, issues and unusual battery drains.

But if you say so... it's ok to install one of these two notifier apps?

And defenately, which is the best? Or at least, wich are PROs and CONs?

As @AKA_Ben said, Notifier does not require Winterboard. To me the difference is simple. If you want/like the fancy icons on the lock screen in addition to the little status icons plus support for lots of other SMS programs (like BiteSMS, SwirlySMS, etc), go with Status Notifier.

If you want to keep it simple and only want the status icons, Notifier is the best choice. Personally, I prefer the simpler/cleaner approach. Either way --- no background program is running like pre-2.0 versions.

BTW: I'm not 100% convinced they don't add some kind of additional processing requirements (or prevent deep sleep modes, etc) and thereby slightly reducing battery life. That addition, if any, is relatively small for sure I can't provide any quantitative analysis to support either position.

Mmmh, I use BiteSMS for default now.

I would to keep it simple, but, if there's no side effects in installing WB e SN i'll get them. I'm trying to understand that.

Also, is important for me the continous (or frequently reminded) alerting of non-accomplished stauts. Especially it would be great a longer altering (with snooze) for Cal's events, like Nokia does.
Is this feature supported from both SN and BB's Notifier?
