dtunes 2.5 update with iTorrentRelay support!!

its a shame that itorrentrelay is a pay service. we need a real torrent client, or the soulseek client ported to 2.x.x. but anyway still cool.

direct from the dev's website @ iPhone Apps

dTunes has teamed up with iTorrentRelay and now offers support for downloading Torrent files.

iTorrentRelay is currently the only Torrent client available on iPhone 2.0 (or higher). It’s a web based application built into dTunes which lets you manage and download Torrent files, ready for dTunes to play back. A perfect match!

Note:
iTorrentRelay will also convert any media file (.AVI .WMV etc) to a format suitable for the iPhone/iTouch.
So the file you download will be compatible and ready to play inside dTunes.

iTorrentRelay works slightly different to normal torrents:
Step 1: Log into iTorrentRelay
Step 2: Start a Torrent download from the Web application
Step 3: Disconnect, and go about your business
Step 4: Log in later to check on how your download is doing
Step 5: Once complete you will be given a download link for your required file.
Step 6: Simply download the file in dTunes and play

iTorrentRelay is a subscription service
(which can be cancelled at any time).
Their current charge is $9.99 per month.
You can signup directly though dTunes.

This is just an added extra to dTunes.
I have received a large amount of emails asking for Torrent support and so far this is the only way to do it. Hopefully it will please a few of you, especially the video conversion prior to download.
You can continue to use dTunes the same as before should you choose not to use the iTorrentRelay service.

Torrents are my preferred way of downloading, but I will not be using torrents on the phone. You may as well be wearing a big sign.
