when i open customize it says initializing then crashes back to springboard

it needs to connect to spicychicken.com right? but spicychicken.com is down and i read somewhere they are abandoning the project

any other ways to enable customize?

Is there any other app like it??
I mean Winterboard is really cool and all (its fantastic actually).
But since I just don't have the time to make my own Winterboard theme, is there any app that is really simple to use and can change individual icons??

Customize works for me on 2.1. I use it for the system strings and such. There are no file sets available thought, I'm not sure what spicy chicken is up to.

Try installing boss prefs and fix user dir permissions? I jailbroke my 3g twice, once with winpwn and once with quickpwn and customize worked both times for me.

I was going to start a thread about why customize seems to be abandoned... I guess I got my answer here.

Try the boss prefs tool, that way you can edit the strings... I think that along with the sounds etc is reason enough to keep thier project going! Come on SC!

what i mean is i can't use customize even just to edit strings because it just crashes to the springboard..yes i have bossprefs and fixed user dir permissions

Turn off wifi/edge/3g. Also I havent tried this yet but you can download SB settings and when it loads slide the bar at the top and click wifi on?

Anyone know how to get system strings on it? mine comes up blank...
