Swirly MMS on 2.1 and AT&T

I installed it and it says I have 1 waiting message from a buddy of mine. Can i get it?

There are a lot of threads around here about it. Some got it to work. Some didn't.
Check out the at&t forums on this site.

It works, but you have to convince ATT to change some settings and you may lose visual voicemail.

people do some research. IT WILL NOT WORK NO MATTER WHAT!! You have to be on 1.1.4 for it work. Plenty and I mean plenty of threads about this already. You have to clone imei and that is not possible on 2.x firmware.

thats stupid + untrue because i have 2.1 and had it working perfectly. then did a restore and it stopped... cant remember my settings

out of 10 iphones weve installed swirly mms, all of them running att. all got the couldnt fetch data unknown header something. tried all the settings found here and on swirlymms forum and could not get them to work. then had , some of my buddies chose to stay on 2.1 and others chose to go back down to 1.1.4 clone their imei and get the mms to work again. and had to do that stupid call into customer care to get them to activate mms option on their account. what a hassle.

can't you have AT&T change your account info from iPhone to blackberry or something and you will gin mms or something? How do you do this? I have searched and unable to get swirrly to work. But again I have read somewhere that you can change things with AT&T and it will work. Is this what your talking about?
