    what software do i have to use to edit the Strings files? and plist files?... when i open them in word/notepad and its all garbled stuff.. but i seen some other peoples files and its all nicely put in tags and it works once edited on the fone.... so what text editor? or software do i need?

    To edit a .strings files you change the extension to .plist. After editing change it back to .strings before you put it back on the phone.

    For editing plist, use this site to convert it to xml then open it in wordpad.

    That is for apple plists. The third party plists already come in xml format so just open them in wordpad.
