Sorry to ask this here, but I tryed to install it directly from the finder under OS X 10.5.2 using the AFP Daemon from frenchiphone.com and couldn´t get past the spicychicken splash screen... it returns to the Springboard. When I deleted it took a couple of shutdowns-restarts to get it back to work.

Same issue here...loads the splahscreen and then back to the springboard. Any ideas?

Okay, at first when I tried to run it it would just crash to the springboard. I fixed the permissions with the following commands:
chmod 755 /Applications/Customize.app
chmod 755 /Applications/Customize.app/Customize
After this Customize opened up. Try this and see if it works.
Custom Carrier Icons still don't seem to work. Also, where's the option to change the dialer (not keypad)

oh well. at least you can still use the custom build on ipod touch fans. It doesn't seem to be any different from this one

This works Great on my 1.1.3 iphone

After setting my permissions the update seemed to work for a while. However, I noticed it stopped changing my badge graphic after a switchout. I have since reverted to the custom build and it works perfectly (except custom carrier images)

there is a fix on installer for carrier images. the custom build works fine for me. everything works fine
02-25-2008, 09:41 PM #13
did the new update work for you? I was having problems with it saving my badge graphic changes. There might have been other problems but i didnt try to change anything else
thanks for the tip on custom carrier images. however it did change my default image to "ipod". This isn't a problem as I can fix it with the "default image set" and also "make it mine" if I needed to. weird though.
I've also discovered that if your custom carrier icon only displays in only the home screen but not your other windows you can fix this by duplicating the image and renaming it with a "-1" at the end of it before the extension.

Doesn't work. I "chmod" those commands, got to the app screen so that i could reorganize and add a fifth dock icon, then restarted the phone and it didn't work.

Where did you type in these commands.... Terminal or somthing???
02-27-2008, 12:01 AM #16
you have to ssh into your phone via terminal. make sure you have bsd subsystem and openssh installed. go into the terminal and type: ssh root@<youripaddresshere>
password is: alpine
once you see the pound (#) symbol on the left side you are ready to enter commands
careful though, this is a mighty tool your wielding.

So still no 5 icon docks? I installed the "custom" customize and now I have my custom sounds back, but I really want my 5 icon dock.
