can you mod summerboard to run .gif files

is there any way to mode summerboard to run gif format file.
id like to make a anamated theme.



iv tried to replace png with gif files does not work no icon
renamed gif files png does not work no movement.

It has nothing to do with Summerboard, all Summerboard does is place the artwork files where they are needed on the iphone. Problem is, the OS only reads .png files so your stuck. Also, .png file format does not support animation, thus like you said you loose any movement the pic would have. And lastly, the OS would have to support a format that supports animation to achieve your goal

i thought iswitcher replaced the icons and summerboard run over the top of the orignal springboard.
