Okay, so I just downloaded the 5 icon dock from Cydia. I LOVE it, it's great. But I got to thinking. Isn't this application a mod of the iPhone's OS? If so, how come no one has created a sideways keyboard for SMS?

Now before people start getting on my *** about something I may not know, this is just something that was rattling in my brain and was curious about, nothing more. I just think think that if people can manipulate the iPhone's OS like that, why would we have to wait for Apple to give us an update on something that we could make for ourselves.

I'm sure someone is out there working on this very thing. If so, GREAT! Please, keep it up and keep us up to date. I would love to hear the progress you've made! =)

hmm, suspect one has to rewrite the whole sms program to utilize landscape mode for sms.

also on landscape mode, I find the sideway keyboard takes alot of screen real estate, meaning not much else can be seem on screen except the keyboard.

Mabe that is why not one has developed sideways keyboard for SMS yet.
