take your 30 second or less mp3, use itunes to convert to aac format.
copy the file (xxx.m4a) as xxx.m4r.
double click it and iTunes sees it as a new ringtone... ready to be synced to your iPhone.
I doubt any iPhone native app will be written to do this simple task.Last edited by jakecigar; 08-29-2008 at 06:59 PM.

This is MUCH better than anything that is available right now...
iRinger :: iPhone Ringtone Factory
Import the song, pick how long you want it to be, click a button to import into iTunes, sync with your phone, done...

Do you know why I can only use it as a phone ringer and not sms?
lol I guess I just HAD to talk about it... I just checked on cydia and a new prog called ToneFX just came out, and does exactly what I want. Cheers again guys!!Last edited by lonecrow; 08-29-2008 at 09:15 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

if you dont't want to use iTunes , you can use GarageBand on your mac to do quick ringtones!
