Emulator Question

For some reason, with any of the emulators, when I look at my list of available games I see the names of the games... but at the top of the list, I also see each game listed with ".AppleDouble" in front of it.
For example:
.AppleDouble/Mario Kart
Why are these here? How can I get rid of them? I AFPed into my phone and checked to see if there were any hidden files in there with that name and did not see anything. I'm running 1.1.3.
