Taskbar Notofication Problem

Alright, so I jailbroken & unlocked my iPhone which is currently running on the DevTeam's Jailbroken 1.1.3 firmware, I installed BSD Subsystem and I installed Taskbar Notification 0.8. For some reason, I told my girlfriend to text me, she did, and I didn't read it, and there is no icon showing up at the top. Any solutions? Do I need to install or do something to get this to work?

I know I'm having a problem with it too - thing is though, 1.1.3 handles text's differently. If you press "close" on an incomming message it counts it as read anyway which is, to say the least, annoying.
