Yeah tough crowd here.
Thanks for the post, I'll give this a go later tonight after a couple beers for sure
Something to point out is that with just the included demo paks of Q1, you'll only be able to play multiplayer on the included demo maps. That means if you connect to a server and you don't see anything loaded, but it says you're connected, chances are they're on a map you don't have.
The full version is just another pak file, aka pak1.pak, and inside of that is the pop.lmp file which is basically what Quake looks for to verify you're running the full version. Its 16 bytes, so you could basically make your own if you really felt like it, lol. Yeah, we were bored one day in the PocketQuake forum over at pocketmatrix a loooong time ago :P

******You must try this out********
Great work! I followed the steps for Zodttd's website and it worked like a charm. Honestly, when the iPad formerly known as the iControl Pad comes out, this will be awesome. Once the iPhone community starts come on to one server with more people, it will be great. Once again, good job to you and others involved!
If you don't want to use the gtxtedit method, you can copy the quake.cfg file to your desktop than edit the "Connect xxx.xxx.xxx." to whatever IP address you want to connect to. I only had luck with those listed on Cheezy's/Malu05's original post on Zodttd's site.
But I did manage to challenge another player online! I'm not sure if he was also using an iphone to play cause if not.......hmmmm.....he wasn't that good But still, this is such a break though and it makes me realize how powerful the iPhone is with great minds like Malu05 and Cheezy.

Thanks for the positive comment!
All credit goes to Malu05, as he in the one that created the scripts. I simply made a video on how to use it. I did make some custom online commands that I posted on ZodTTD's site.
But once again, thank you. I'm glad to see that some people are excited about release.
Have fun online!
