    Default Manualy Install AFPd

IM trying to manually install AFPd since the one in installer.app is the previous release, I need help in doing this "/afpdcontrol must be owned by root and have file mode 4755." how can I do that?

I'm having the same problems. Through transmit (my sftp program) I was able to set the owner of the file to root but as soon as I tried setting the permission to 4755 it gave an error saying it couldn't do it. If it is set to 755 it simply says Error: Must run as root when I launch AFPd.

Is there a command line method to set the necessary permissions and ownership?

Just ssh into your iphone and run
    chmod 4755 /Applications/AFPd.app/afpdcontrol
