Cydia Vs Installer

Now that i have unlocked my fone , im struck by the lack of apps for it , and also the inability to browse my fone and drag and drop stuff , like i used to be able to do a year ago when i last had an iphone. Is this situation going to change in the near future , or would it be wiser to downgrade it to 1.4 ? I have dloaded a prog called browse my iphone , but its crap , you cant open folders, or do anything with them.

You can ssh into your phone, which will let you drag and drop files into it.
The lack of applications should soon be addressed too, keep in mind that 2.0 is only about a month old, and that the developers will have to adjust their applications so that they work on it. Till then, enjoy the App Store applications.

If you're on a mac, download cyberduck, or winscp for windows.
Note down your iphone's ip address by going into settings, clicking on wifi, and then the connection you're on.
On either one of those programs, open a connection, choose sftp, enter in your iphones ip address in the server field.
username: root
password: alpine
And that's it, you're in your phone.
If you need more help go look at this windows guide on sshing.
