Is there a way to install the installer 4 through cydia?
You know like if there's a source with it

there is a source, but cydia wont let you install it.

No. You have to pwn your phone and restore through iTunes. No big deal though...not much in installer that you can't get from Cydia.

You can just download it and transfer it over via ssh.

I've been looking around for the Installer 4 link, but i've only found the beta ones. Is it the same thing?

yes, its still in beta 4.0b4-4

if you're on mac, get pwnagetool and find the location of the installer file that the app uses to install it into the custom .ipsw... extract the file and ssh it into your phone. set permissions root:wheel. if you're on windows, get winpwn 2.0.0.4...find the .tar file of installer (cprogram files\winpwn\bundles) and extract it and do the same..

im on windows, i found the .tar (in the location above), extracted it...used winscp to ssh it into my phone. set permissions, root:wheel...runs perfectly. have fun. if you need more help...PM.

the easiest way is to upgrade to 2.0.1 honestly...i would have done that but iTunes doesn't like my USB ports so i get an error everytime i try to restore. need a new computer. :-(

can you find a way to get it? it's hard to understand cydia and i can't figure out how to get installer through winpwn

Or is it simply not there out of spite? I sure hope not.

ok, i have two installer apps on my cydia. both are installer 4. Bad news: is mostly in french, But the Good News is that if you add regular installer 4 sources to this, it will be in english. Tell me if you want the source. Yes, ive tried it.
