Help! Maps crashing to springboard 1.1.3

My google maps was working fine after updating/jailbreaking to 1.1.3 and then for some reason I installed the package "google maps prep 1.1.3" under the "iphone 1.1.3 apps for itouch" section. I thought maybe it was to fix the native LocateMe function. Now maps flashes on the screen for about a second before crashing back to the springboard. Anyone have a solution?

I did exactly the same thing and am having this exact same problem...
been searching for a solution but i might just downgrade and re upgrade using ipodtouchmaster's method ... things seem too work well for people using his method.
