Getting the latest Customize to work on 2.0

Alright, so this has been really convoluted.

When I first Jailbroke my iPhone a week or so ago Customize was one of the few apps available. I never got very far into the app after the download because it would either freeze or give me server errors. So I eventually deleted it. Then WinterBoard came out and has worked quite well, but I really had a desire for more control rather than just apply a whole theme.

I downloaded Customize again last night and some things must have been fixed because it no longer locks up or gives me server errors. I was delighted by the built in theme browser and really liked a lot of themes I was seeing, that aren't compatible with winterboard.

Unfortunately I have not once been able to apply a theme with Customize. Whether it's an imported Summer Board theme or one downloaded within Customize. It will change the icons but that's it. I can individually change icons as well, but anytime I try to change wallpaper or the dock image for example, I get an error.

From what I gather this has to do with permissions. Searching around on this is confusing because there seem to be a lot of variations with different versions, and a lot of tutorials on how to get it working with SummerBoard, which are obviously from pre 2.0. I've tried a few permissions solutions I found but none have worked. Not even sure if I did it right since a lot of posts I came accross were vague and seemed to assume the reader knew more than I did.

So all this to say, can anyone help me or point me to a resource to get the latest version of Customize working properly on 2.0 firmware? I don't even care about Winterboard if Customize can apply themes.

Thanks

If you haven't been over to the customize forums I would recommend it:

http://customizeapp.com:81/forum/

I have tried everything I could find there with no luck but it seems some are successfully using Customize. At any rate I'm just going to wait for the next release or for Winterboard to have more options added to it. In contrast to Customize it works perfectly, but there isn't any control over specific areas.

The best thing to od is just wait. Customize has always been buggy on newer firmwares. Give it a week or two and it should be more stable
