It's not a THEORY. this is how both my touch and phone are set up. Every app I've installed works. But hey, if you think Im wrong, then by all means, don't listen to anything I say.

We can't assume that the ONLY change is the root to mobile thing. Apple can just as easily change the frameworks (eg rename/eliminate methods). They can do this because they are still the only source of software. However, once 3rd party apps are official, I predict the firmware will be more backward-compatible.

If I remember correctly, the change from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 broke some apps...

I didn't delete all my apps before doing the 1.1.3 jailbreak and now I can't uninstall openssh or some of my other apps and I can't use winSCP either what do I do?

Its in the apps section of your iPhone. Either make a whole folder called Customize.app or just replace the files in that folder...

use an SFTP and delte them manually they are still in var/root i made a thread on it in the jailbreak/downgrade/unlockuing section
